Every year in Perpignan, a selection of the best photojournalistic subjects from around the world.
The International Photojournalism Festival is organised by the Visa pour l'Image - Perpignan association.
It takes place every year throughout the city, starting at the end of August for a fortnight, plus a 3 week reserved for schoolchildren.
Among the sites hosting the event, the most emblematic for the exhibitions are the Convent of the Minimes and the Church of Saint-Dominique, as well as the Campo Santo where the public screenings are organised during the professional week.
From Monday 1 to Saturday 6 September, the evening screenings will examine the year's news. They cover a range of subjects and points of view relating to social issues, conflicts (those that are talked about and those that are kept quiet), and various observations on the state of the world. The various Visa pour l'Image awards are presented at these evenings.
Special opening hours for accredited visitors from 9am to 10am, from Thursday 4 to Saturday 6 September.
For those unable to be in Perpignan at the beginning of September, it will be possible to take a virtual tour of most of the exhibitions on the Visa pour l'Image website.
From 15 to 19 September and from 22 to 26 September, the exhibitions will remain open especially for school groups (by appointment during the week of 15 to 19 September).
