Boulangerie Le Couvent, in Ille-sur-Têt, is a true family story. Henri Poch's expertise earned him the title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France in 2000. Described as the "geo trouve-tout of baking", Henri Poch is a member of the Ambassadeurs du Pain and organiser of the Mondial du Pain, as well as a member of the Boulangers de la Charte, the founding president of the Maîtres du Pain (Pyrénées-Orientales), a member of the French Bakery Team and the Lo Que Fem association (Pyrénée-Orientales), which brings together local craftsmen, artists and producers.
This family-run business goes against the grain of traditional bakeries: in an exceptional setting (the former Convent of the Franciscan friars), steeped in history and surrounded by nature, this traditional bakery will charm you with its ancestral and original confections, but also with its sense of perfection and rediscovered taste.
