Regarding
The chapel of the Third Order, a rare example of Louis XVI architecture in Roussillon.
It was completed in 1774.
There are three superimposed levels of painted decoration: the initial religious theme by the painter Jacques Gamelin was succeeded under the Directoire by a revolutionary iconography of a decadal temple, unique in France, with the goddess Minerva enthroned in the centre of the choir.
The decor was changed again under the July Monarchy by the occupying army. Transformed into a garrison chapel, the building was returned to the town at the end of the 20th century.
