CHATEAU DE CALADROY
Regarding
Perched at an altitude of 354 m, Château de Caladroy is surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and garrigue. It has been a wine estate since the 19th century. From its tumultuous past, it retains a spectacular architecture that harmoniously blends the different eras. The tasting cellar is located beneath the foundations of the château, in the chapel of Saint-Michel-de-Caladroer, built in the 12th century. Today, Château de Caladroy is an estate of 560 hectares, including 130 hectares of vines classified under the Côtes du Roussillon Villages and Vin Doux Naturel appellations.
The château has been growing olive trees for over 40 years on a surface area of 7 hectares with 2 varieties: the well-known and classic Picholine and the Sigoise, a variety specific to Sig in Algeria.
Château de Caladroy's olive oil, wines and sweet wines can be discovered directly at the estate during a visit with free tasting.
