CHATEAU LAURIGA
Regarding
Swept by the Tramontane, the vineyards are planted on the Pliocene hills typical of the Aspres terroir, whose sandy, filtering soils quickly dry out. Remarkably, some of Lauriga's vines are planted on ancient terraces with very stony soils, in the form of rolled pebbles that warm up quickly and whose virtues have always been appreciated by the ancients. The diversity of its terroir enables a subtle range of wines to be produced. Château Lauriga makes it a point of honour to respect the environment by preserving biodiversity and the people who tend the vines. Originally called "Laurinya", this ancient terroir is located in the Aspres, in the commune of Thuir, the birthplace of Byrrh. Its 60-hectare vineyard around a renovated farmhouse and a cellar adapted to modern winemaking techniques make Lauriga an estate and wines of reference and quality.
