Canet Roussillon Méditerranée Symphony Orchestra
Conductor: François Ragot
We know many composers for their music, but we know them less as bon vivants,
lovers of life and good things.
We could mention the famous Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini, known for his operas (Barber of Seville, William Tell) and who had two passions. A passion for music, of course, but also for gastronomy. Don't we need a 'chef' for these two disciplines? A chef who would sometimes work at a piano, and who would decide on a sequence of movements as well as a succession of dishes...
Whether with family or friends, at the king's table or in the country, drinking or eating, composers have sometimes drawn their inspiration from flavours and tastes.
