On the initiative of the heritage department of the town of Prades: screening of 2 documentaries (15 minutes each) made by Roger BUSS of Sud Vidéo Production (cinema).
These 2 documentaries were made to reveal the inaccessible parts of the church, which are off-limits to the public for safety reasons.
You'll discover the hidden face of an unsuspected heritage, with part 1 of "Le conteur du temps, l'église de Prades et son clocher" (The storyteller of time, the church of Prades and its Romanesque bell tower), marvellously restored in 2019 by companies authorised by Monuments Historiques, and part 2, the discovery behind the scenes of the Grinda brothers' 1818 organ, thanks to the report "Au cœur de l'orgue avec Sébastien Fohrer" (At the heart of the organ with Sébastien Fohrer).
The Pays d'art et d'histoire Conflent Canigó and the heritage department of the town of Prades will be continuing the theme with a lecture on the restoration of religious heritage given by Caroline SERRA, the architect in charge of the church, who will be presenting several examples of restoration work in progress in the Occitanie region (Jean Cocteau room on the 1st floor of the cinema).
