Domaine des Schistes is a family property which cultivates 50 ha of vines between Estagel and Tautavel. Jacques and Nadine left the cooperative cellar in 1989 to start an adventure: rehabilitate the family cellar dating from 1906 in the center of the village, train in winemaking and create a sales network. Their son Mickaël encouraged organic farming and agro-forestry in particular. Among the estate's vintages, we can cite the Essencial range in red and white, lively and fresh, coming from a pure schist terroir, as for the Parcellaires, they will allow you "to go further in the relationship between grape variety and terroir", comments Nadine. They also produce VDN matured in the Solera method or bottled young on the fruit, and an excellent dry Rancio which is, according to Nadine and Jacques, the root and the future of viticulture. You can taste all these wonders in the superb cellar or during a stay at the estate in one of the 2 superb lodgings located in the middle of the vineyards.
