Regarding

Dedicated to St Marcel, the church has a rectangular vaulted apse. Lombard strips decorate its outside. The single nave was originally vaulted and initially replaced by a timber frame. There is a two-arch bell tower located between the apse and the nave. Inside the church, there is an early baptismal font and a 17th century altarpiece containing statues of St Marcel, but also St Sebastian and St Gaudérique.
St Marcel de Flassa church is now completely restored, partly thanks to the “Serdinya-Joncet Preservation Society”. The chancel’s vault is painted with some 50% still being visible. Snail shells and fish scales can be seen as well as older decor. Three coats have been placed one on top of the other, the second being of yellow volutes overlaying in grey.
