The permanent exhibition presents the Prades collections. Many great men have lived in Prades, including some of the great painters of Roussillon. Martin Vivés, born in Prades in 1905, is one of them. Having received a donation of his works, the town decided to set up an exhibition space in a heritage building, restored by the town in 2014.
In a former 19th-century prison, you'll discover an exhibition gallery that showcases local artists through temporary exhibitions, alternating with the permanent collections, which are the result of donations (Martin Vivès, François Branger).
Please note: the permanent collections are not on display during temporary exhibitions.
