Ornaments and colours on facades in the Catalan region - The identity of old buildings

The Royal Castle will be closed in October: Tuesday 14, Thursday 16, Friday 17, Monday 20, Tuesday 21 October.

As part of Architecture Month 2025, devoted to "everyday architecture", this exhibition highlights the richness and diversity of Catalonia's old buildings. It presents the architectural features specific to the different areas of the department - coast, plain, foothills and mountains - through a study of materials, renderings and decorations.

These elements make it possible to establish a link with the Royal Château of Collioure and its barracks, a remarkable example of architecture in perfect harmony with its urban environment.
