Regarding
Friday 26 June from 6pm to midnight, Saturday 27 June from 10am to midnight and Sunday 28 June from 10am > Come and celebrate Saint Peter, the patron saint of fishermen! A packed programme of events awaits you over three days!
A celebration centred on the sea, fishermen and Catalan culture.
Brass bands, rowing boat demonstrations, Castellers, dance troupes, wooden games, barbecues, an open-air ceremony, a procession and blessing of Catalan boats, a style contest, a trophy presentation, talks, and musical entertainment with the Cobla Sol de Banyuls and the Banda Les Canaillous.
FRIDAY 26 JUNE - Fishing Quay
6pm Opening of the event with a band performance by Cobla Sol de Banyuls
8pm Dinner on site – bodegas and sardine feast
Performance by the Les Enjoliveurs theatre company
8pm–midnight Band performance by Cobla Sol de Banyuls
SATURDAY 27 JUNE – Fishing Quay
10am Band performance by Peña Colada
10am–12pm Artists’ stall
11am Blessing and departure of the tuna boat CHRISDERIC 5, followed by Catalan fishing boats and pleasure craft
11am Stand and workshop on learning nautical knots by the Scouts and Guides of France – Saint-Cyprien maritime group
11.30 am Catalan boat elegance contest
12 noon Trophy presentation
3 pm–5 pm Llaguts de rem* Outings in Catalan boats
6 pm Mass in the maritime gardens (former harbour master’s office) followed by a procession
