Under a small circus big top brimming with poetry, Hector, the extraordinarily strong man, tells a touching story about being different, strength and the freedom to be oneself. Adapted from Magali Le Huche’s picture book, this visual and musical theatre production immerses the audience in a handcrafted world made of paper, wool and puppets.
Hector impresses the audience with his physical feats and extraordinary strength, but away from the spotlight, he reveals another side to himself: that of a gentle, sensitive and dreamy soul. Through a language blending music, gibberish and French/LSF (French Sign Language), the production delicately questions imposed norms and role models. Combining humour, tenderness and imagination, this show invites young and old alike to look beyond appearances and celebrates the richness of what makes us unique.
