Regarding
The park exists since 1818. According to an agreement of 1860, the departmental nursery garden was given to the city provided that they would deliver the trees to the streets of the department and to open them to the public. The nursery garden used to extend to the police office instead of to the Mediterranean. To see: the nursery garden, renovated from 1978 until 1979, occupies today only 10% of its original surface, a feast for your eyes that you can’t miss during ‘the summer of Saint-Martin’ because in the autumn, the leaves of the trees change into magnificent colors. The American oak, Liquidambars (American storax) and other sorts of trees give you an Indian summer feeling.
