La Bartavelle is located in the main street of the village of Argelès-sur-Mer, "la rue longue" as the locals like to call it. Our restaurant is also our home, and we like to say that our customers are our guests. We create and cook, we reinvent and simmer, in short, we are gourmets and enthusiasts and we share this passion... La Bartavelle is a place where curious gourmets meet. Our dishes tell the story of how they came to be, and often echo childhood memories. We cook with local produce: it's the produce that inspires us, because it's the fruit of the hard work of taste artisans, and we owe it to ourselves to respect that. We put our know-how, our desires, our techniques and our madness into them: cooking without emotion is just a feeding frenzy. So come along!
