Regarding

Tet River is the longest river in the Pyrénées-Orientales. It rises in Lake Bouillouses, at the foot of the Carlit massif and recovers the valley under Mont-Louis. It should be noted that there is no major river that descends from the Cerdagne plateau directly into the Tet valley. Once in the valley, the Têt descends almost in a straight line to the sea, crossing the dam of Vinça, then Perpignan. This dam was built in the 70's to channel its floods. In the 19th century dikes were erected in Perpignan to protect from the floods. The Tet is fed along its route by tributaries that descend from the Canigou massif or the Conflent hills.
