The GR 107 is a cross-border road in the Pyrenees (224 km) linking the towns of Foix, Ariège, and Berga, Catalonia. The cross-border pass between France and Spain is Portella Blanca. In the Pyrenees-Orientales, it leaves the Puymorens Pass (alt.1920m) and follows the valley of Campcardos, until Portella Blanca (Andorra). The GR 107 follows the Chemin des Bonshommes (path of the fellows), an important economic axis uniting Ariège and Berguedà from the 11th to the 16th century. The last Cathars in exile, fleeing the inquisition, used this route to seek refuge in Catalonia ... Topo-guide published by the FFRP "On the trail of the Cathars - The path of the Bonshommes" Ref. 10
