LE COUVENT

The bakery « Le Couvent » in Ille-sur-Têt is a real family story. The known-how of Henri Poch gave him the title of “Meilleur ouvrier de France” in 2000. Named “Gyro Gearloose of the bakery” by its peers, Henri Poch is a member of the “Bread Ambassadors” and he is taking part in the Bread World Cup. He is also a member of the “Bakers of the charter”, founding president of the Bread Masters (Pyrénées-Orientales), member of the Bakery French Team and of the “Lo Que Fem” association, regrouping artisans, artists and local producers. This family company goes against the traditional flow in bakery: in a beautiful place (Former Franciscan covent), full of history and surrounding by nature, you will be charmed by this artisan bakery making ancestral and original products and also by its sense of perfection.
