LES CAMPORELLS - CLASSIFIED SITE OF THE BOUILLOUSES
The Camporells site is without doubt one of the most beautiful high mountain scenery in the Catalan Pyrenees Park. It has about fifteen ponds, as well as a fauna and flora emblematic of the Pyrenees. The Lake Bouillouses and its surroundings is a natural classified site since June 24, 1976 under the law of May 2, 1930. It is under the preservation of this natural heritage that the General Council of Pyrénées-Orientales applies to regulate summer traffic since the summer of 2000. Road traffic is regulated during the summer months, the site becomes accessible by shuttle, chairlifts and marked hiking trails.
