Regarding

These are the oldest monuments in our region. They are ossuaries, collective tombs which can be dated to the first metal age. Specialists have identified twelve of them in the Albères massif. Argelès has two of them.
The dolmen of the Cova de l'Alarb was built with materials found on site. It consists of several slabs planted in the ground and a covering slab. This stone casing, which forms the burial chamber, was probably covered by a tumulus. A little higher up is the Collet de Cotlioure dolmen, without its table, which lies nearby. Classified as historical monuments (1958), they remain precious witnesses of a little known past.
