The path is initially grassy, but gradually becomes more stony. The first trencants, placed in the middle of the path to control erosion, are an indication of this change. The route then goes along the left bank of La Comalada under the shade of deciduous trees. Conifers gradually begin to take their place. A low drystone wall marks the proximity of the Còrrec del Rossinyol, the start of the arboretum path. This arboretum will lead you to the manned mountain refuge. You will then be able to see Saint Guillem chapel.
