FranceRegarding
After Signac, from 1887 and throughout the 20th century, Collioure attracted many artists: Matisse and Derain in 1905 and, in their wake, Valtat, Manguin Puy d'Espagnat, Camoin, Peské... (who in 1934 created the Museum's collection of works by his artist friends).
A little later came Pignon, Hanicotte, Picasso, Survage, Dufy, Foujita... The imprint of these artists established Collioure as an important artistic town.
Since 1980, housed in the Villa Pams, the museum has expanded its collections of both twentieth-century and contemporary art.
Several temporary exhibitions are organised each year.
