Regarding
The Joseph Puig Museum of Coins and Medals, named after its founder, offers a small glimpse into worlds past and present. Its collections invite you to journey from the shores of the Mediterranean to the shores of the Pacific, from the earliest coins to those we use today.
Sesterces, cowrie shells, drachmas and dirhams, sols and double sols, francs, euros … can all be found in the museum’s permanent and temporary exhibitions. The museum is housed on the second floor of the Villa Les Tilleuls.
Designed by the architect Viggo Dorph-Petersen in the early 20th century, this villa is a botanical and architectural gem in the Art Nouveau style, situated a stone’s throw from Perpignan railway station.
Open Tuesday to Saturday from 1.30 pm to 6 pm with free admission,
and in the mornings by appointment
