Regarding

Exhibition on the ground floor "Birth of a bishopric" and the new scenography of the permanent exhibition of the works of Etienne Terrus (1857-1922) located on the first floor.
Painter was born in Elne, friend of many artists including Maillol, Matisse and Derain. A master of watercolor, he is not attached to any school or trend, even if the influence of the Fauves is very clear in his latest paintings. He artfully transcribed the landscapes and brightness of Roussillon.

In addition, discover a unique collection of ancient sarcophagi recently discovered during excavations during the repair of water pipes in the lower town. These sarcophagi, complemented by those previously exhibited in the cathedral, are skillfully staged to tell the fascinating story of the genesis of a bishopric.
