GUIDED HIKE: PIC DU DORMIDOU, A GENTLE PEAK

Starting from the Col de Jau (13 km above Mosset)
For all lovers of the great outdoors who prefer to avoid the challenges of high peaks, this gentle ascent takes you through heathland and pine forests to the peaceful summit of Dourmidou at an altitude of 1,834 metres, which once served as a resting place for livestock in summer (hence its name: ‘the dormitory’ in Catalan). A 360° view of the Madrès, Canigou and Bugarach massifs, with the chance to spot chamois or other inhabitants of the mountain landscapes.

Practical details: Minimum 6 people (maximum 12) / Prices: €22 per adult, €18 per child (under 18) / Groups of 7 or 8: €20 per person / Groups of 9 to 12: €17 per person.
