REFUGE DE BATERE

Situated at an altitude of 1,470 m on the mythical Canigó massif, classified as a Grand Site de France, this former Batère mine building has been converted into a gîte and inn. A stopover on the GR 10, the HRP, the Tour du Canigó and the Tour du Haut Vallespir, it offers a breathtaking view of the Haut Vallespir hills and southern Catalonia, as well as glimpses of the Mediterranean. You will be welcomed in a friendly atmosphere for a gourmet meal, a hiker's evening or a stay.
Accessible by car, Batère is the ideal place in the heart of nature for family holidays, outings with friends, groups and getaways for two. The refuge is transformed into a restaurant on Sunday lunchtimes, so you can enjoy the sunshine, the walks and the photographic exhibitions on site.
