THESEUS – TDP Collective
The Rhapsodes is a series of performances centred on the heroes of Greek tragedy, blending storytelling, theatre and music, with a focus on the spoken word and the evocative power of the imagination. Here, the company explores the figure of Theseus, the famous Athenian hero known, amongst other things, for having defeated the Minotaur – with the help of Ariadne… Today, he speaks to us and retraces his journey with a fresh perspective. Beyond the account of his successes lies, implicitly, the story of his mistakes and failings. Wandering through his inner labyrinth, he encounters the women who have shaped his life and pays an unexpected, sincere and tender tribute to Ariadne, Antiope and Phaedra…
