Before the Treaty of the Pyrenees in 1659, Latour-de-France was the last defensive bastion of the Franco-Spanish border. The Roc Nègre represents a natural barrier to the ungrateful, essentially limestone soil. The men cleaned and arranged these grounds to put them in cereal crops and fodder. After the Agly and the vineyard, the path evolves between these low walls and capitelles so patiently built. Map top 50: 2448 OT advised.
