GUIDED HERITAGE TOUR: "A WALK THROUGH HISTORY
Departure from Place de la Fédération at 7.00pm - duration of visit: 1h30
The black marl cliffs overlooking the river ensure that the historic centre of the village is strategically located. The fort walls also provide much-needed protection. In the 13th century, Caudiès became a royal town and administrative centre of the Fenouillèdes viguerie. Outside the walls, we can admire the facades of the half-timbered houses and visit the present-day parish church of Sainte-Marie de Caudiès.
Remember to bring water, a hat and good walking shoes.
