The trails are marked out, and the valley has a relief sufficiently marked to be located. If you have a map and a compass, you can dare some escapades on the mountainsides. Otherwise, use professionals accompaniments.
This valley, natural jewel, takes its name from the river that runs through it.
Its biodiversity is remarkable, and its ethnological heritage just as much: the well-informed visitor will have access to the famous « peyres escrites » (engraved stones) which attest to a pastoral vocation that is several thousand years old.
The valley gives the feeling that she belongs first to the herds and that the visitor must behave as a guest. Meetings with isard are not rare !
