NATURE RESERVE OF PY

The territory of the Py Nature Reserve of 3930 ha belongs to the Pyrenean axial chain between the Canigou massif and the Costabona massif. In geology, two particularities are worthy of note: - the carbonate and basic rocks of the low zone as well as the marbles and limestones - three roughly parallel bands of quartz mass. The large fauna is represented by the isard, the boar, the genette, the golden eagle, the big tetra, the ptarmigan, the goshawk, etc ... Facilities for the public: marked trails with interpretation booklet, trails of interpretation "man and the forest".
