LAC SUR L'AGLY ET BARRAGE

The dam on the Agly was built in 1994. It responds to the problem of water management: it secures the water supply and ensures the sharing of the resource in the dry season between agricultural needs and environmental needs (avoid that the Agly is a wadi in summer) while capping the floods in the rainy season. The lake on the Agly is, meanwhile, an ideal place for lovers of fishing and nature with including a strong presence of carnivorous (pike, perch, minnow, chub, southern barbel, roach, tench, carp). The lake on the Agly is today the only site of the department to authorize fishing by boat. Other features of the site: the night fishing courses, a "no kill" course.
