VALLEY OF CAMPCARDOS

The Campcardos Valley, thanks to the confluence of the Atlantic, Alpine and Mediterranean influences with its 1000 meters of elevation to the Portella Blanca, with 1300 meters to the Font Negra Peaks, plus its magnificent preservation make this valley a unique and exceptional observatory of many biotopes. The botanical wealth of the Campcardos Valley is present along the way. On the ubac slope, the valley offers the largest and highest birch forest in the Eastern Pyrenees. In autumn, the density of these trees gives a picture of colors quite exceptional.
