FranceRegarding
A former 10th-century Benedictine abbey that became a collegiate chapter in the 14th century, the church, which was very rich until the end of the 18th century, was sold at auction during the Revolution and converted into private flats.
The church boasts impressive gypsum (stucco) decoration, bas-reliefs, mouldings and twisted columns, as well as a heptagonal bell tower offering a stunning panoramic view of the Gorges de Galamus, the Clue de la Fou and the Fenouillèdes syncline.
