Regarding

In Sorède, the ESAT "Les Micocouliers" opens its doors to you to share a rare and ancestral skill: working with hackberry wood. This tree, typical of the south of France, was once used to guide horse-drawn carriages as early as the 13th century. Today, it is shaped with precision to create durable and technical objects: riding crops, whips, hiking poles, sports equipment, etc.

Here, this craft is perpetuated with passion by people with disabilities, in a workshop where human values, tradition and quality go hand in hand.
Guided tours provide an opportunity to discover the different stages of production, talk to the craftsmen and better understand the value of this living heritage.

It's a meeting place at the crossroads of history, transmission and inclusion.

The ESAT offers free guided tours from Monday to Friday morning. Group visits by prior arrangement.
Dogs allowed on lead.
