The ESAT "Les Micocouliers" is an establishment that perpetuates an ancestral know-how, the work of Micocouliers wood.
The hackberry is a tree commonly found in the south of France. As far back as the 13th century, it was used by carters to drive their carriages.
Today, people with disabilities continue to work this highly flexible, malleable wood to make whips and riding crops, hiking poles and sports equipment, among other things.
The ESAT offers free guided tours from Monday to Friday morning. Group visits by prior arrangement.
