Located between Dorres and Font-Romeu, the chaos of Targasonne offers a landscape of granite blocks exposed south-facing and set on a slope of about 1500 m above sea level. Composed of more than 1000 huge boulders, the chaos is dominated by the Themis solar power plant.
It was in the chaos that the stonemasons of Dorres and Angoustrine took the granite they cut on the spot. Today, it is frequented by rock climbing adepts.
